These maroon chemical free floor finish removal pads are designed to let you strip your floor with or without water. On average it takes 3 to 5 passes depending on the coats of wax to strip down a floor to the bare tile. (Please Note: Even though these pads will do a great job in stripping the top layers of wax off, they will never remove 100% of the old wax off of the floor. To accomplish this, you'll need to perform a wet chemical strip.) You'll be most effective when using these pads as a dry stripping pad, but you can use them wet as well.
Customers regularly give us feedback saying these pads an give aggressive cut and are more aggressive than the leading competitor. Used on theproper floor types, you can expect to top strip up to 50,000 square feet per case. Of course preventing soil or finish from drying on the pad,along with proper cleaning after every use will prolong the life of these pads. Not only do you improve your efficiency, but you also improve your total cost to redo a floor, as no stripping chemicals are needed. Each case that you purchase comes with 10 pads that are ⅜" thick.
Very Important: This ⅜" maroon strip pad MUST be used with a red spacer & scrub pad that you see pictured to the left here. If you attach the ⅜" pad alone to the underside of your machine it will damage your floor. The pad driver has many small pins that hold a pad on, in a velcro hook & loop style. Without enough padding those pins will score your flooring.

As described, this orbital scrubber with these prep pads will not remove all of the wax but the do indeed remove several layers and I would highly recommend this pad for scrubbing and recoating.
