Product Description
These CleanFreak sand screens are commonly used with a 17" floor buffer for removal or repair of coatings on wood floor surfaces. They can also be used for refinishing gym floors and repairing painted floor surfaces. Sand screens are commonly used in the final stages of floor sanding to smooth any raised grain. Discs measure 17" in diameter, and come 10 per box.
Each CleanFreak sand screen is constructed with water-proof resins and silicon carbide abrasives embedded into both sides of the discs. An open mesh construction resists loading, and we recommend rinsing them out after each use to prolong the sanding life of each disc. Rinsing the screens removes debris and build up in the screen, allowing for a clean cutting surface.
Once a screen looses it's cutting edge, simply flip over and use the other side. They can be used wet or dry, and should be attached to a pad or a specialty screen pad driver to prevent screen slippage and to maximize performance. We recommend using these screens with a 17" white pad, but a more aggressive pad can be used depending on the floor surface.
